Why this page exists
Clients ask how we use AI tools. This page says what we do and what we do not do, so nobody has to guess.
Where we use it
We use AI tools for research and background reading, for drafting and editing text, for transcribing meetings, for studio admin, for help with code, for early visual exploration, and for checking accessibility. The tools we use are Anthropic’s Claude and the AI features built into Figma and Adobe. Everything they produce is reviewed by a person before it goes anywhere.
Where we do not
Final creative work is not generated by AI. The identities, layouts, illustrations and copy we deliver are made by us. We do not generate images of real people. We do not let an AI tool make a decision that affects you, your staff or your customers. Some of the mockups on this website were made with AI image tools. The work shown in them is ours.
Your material
We use business accounts with training on our data switched off wherever the service offers it. We do not put your confidential material or anyone’s personal information into an AI tool unless you have agreed to it in writing. Our privacy policy sets out how we handle personal information.
You can say no
If you would rather we did not use AI tools on your project, tell us.
Other people’s rights
We licence typefaces, photography and stock properly, and we do not present generated work as original illustration or photography.
Who is responsible
Dan Taylor is responsible for this policy and for how AI is used across the studio. Everyone who works with us works to it. Reviewed at least once a year and whenever our tools change.
